Firstly, Happy New Year to all 🙂 The start of a new year is generally synonymous with setting new personal goals, such as getting fitter, being more organised, decluttering and maybe trying out something completely new that one was contemplating for a while.
The apps that I’ve chosen to discuss on  @SAFM with @AshrafGarda this week fit in with that theme and I hope that it will be found useful to those looking for apps to assist with their specific goals that helps them achieve their New Year’s resolutions.
1.Learn a new language using the duolingo app –Â https://www.duolingo.com/
Available on : iOS, Android, Windows Phone
Price : Free
Languages: French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and many more
If learning a new language is on your list of goals, this is the app for you. Available in bite sized chunks that feels like games, this app claims to teach you a new language (read, write , listen and speak) within 34 hours (and is equivalent to an entire university semester). Â This app is completely free, there are no ads or subscription fees. Bill Gates is one amongst the 70million+ users already signed up.
2. 1Password –Â https://agilebits.com/onepassword
Available on : iOS, Android, Windows Phone
Price : Free
Everyone these days is guilty of having too many passwords and too little time to remember them. This app creates a secure password for your various accounts and them remembers them so you don’t have to. This is an alternative for anyone who’s kept a pad of paper with their passwords, especially in today’s app world where you inevitably need a password for everything.
You would need to remember one very strong master password and the app will generate strong passwords for you, store them and retrieve them and even input them automatically  The app is free, though the mobile and business options will cost you.
If you can’t remember a long password, the latest versions of these apps will let you log in with your finger — as long as your phone has a fingerprint reader.
3. Unclutter  with the most popular ToDO list app, Clear – http://realmacsoftware.com/clear/

– Personalise your Clear lists with themes and make them your own.
– One universal download for iPhone, iPad and now Apple Watch
